Christian Dior’s home, Château de La Colle Noire, to reopen

Dior is set to reopen the doors to Christian Dior’s home where he spent his final years this May. Dior, who purchased the Grasse château six years prior to his death, was unable to complete the property’s renovations; to honour the iconic designer’s final vision, the French fashion and beauty house has teamed with with designers to make Dior’s dream a reality.

The story of Dior and Grasse, the region where the château is located, dates back to Christian Dior’s youth, when he took refuge in this generous land during the years of the Occupation. The flowers of Grasse inspired him to create his first perfumes, pillars of the Dior legend that are Miss Dior, Eau Fraîche, Diorama, Diorissimo and Eau Sauvage.

For the time being, the house will host special events for the French beauty and fashion house but will not be open to the public.
