Tips to stop touching your face
Break the habit: how to stop touching your face.

Alongside hand washing, not touching your face is one of the most important ways to stop the spread of COVID-19.

But like any habit, it can be hard to stop. Here are 3 things you can to do avoid touching your face.

Keep your hands occupied. Fight the urge of touching your face by keeping your hands busy – try a stress ball, elastic band or even a fidget spinner.

Pay attention to visual cues. Touching your face is often done subconsciously. Putting up reminders like post-it notes are a helpful way to make you aware and break the habit.

Think of the risk to others. According to behavioural psychologists, we’re more likely to break a habit if it’s threatening the lives of others. The simple thought that touching your face might be risking other people’s lives is a good way to curb the habit.
