Sixty-four million households streamed the 2020 docuseries – titled Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness – in the first four weeks after it was released in March last year.
With season one premiering at a time when much of the world was in the throes of lockdown, season two should demonstrate whether the show was a hit due to stay-at-home orders or because people were truly fascinated.
Tiger King 2 continues the colourful saga of America’s most notorious big cat owners. According to Netflix, “sudden fame and unwanted attention from the authorities turn up the heat and unearth some stunning revelations” in the second season.
“With Joe Exotic behind bars and Carole Baskin closing in on ownership of his disreputable zoo, the Emmy-nominated saga continues its twisted course with Tiger King 2 as newfound revelations emerge on the motivations, backstories and secrets of America’s most notorious big cat owners,” reads the synopsis.
“Old enemies and frenemies, including Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover and James Garretson return for another season of murder, mayhem, and madness.
“Thought you knew the whole story? Just you wait.”
