Three New Face Masks to Add to Your Beauty Routine This Summer

A change in seasons can leave skin in need of extra care and attention. These rejuvenating face masks will help get your skin into tip-top condition.

Our skin’s own repair mechanisms go into overdrive when we’re busy getting much-needed shut-eye, therefore it pays to invest in the right bedtime beauty routine. If you want to rise and shine with the skin of your dreams, Sisley Velvet Sleeping Mask ($175) is a must-have.

Skin-health-boosting ingredients such as saffron flower extract, macadamia oil, kokum butter, Japanese lily turf extracts, shea butter and thyme honey ensure you step out of bed with glowing skin. The deeply nourishing ingredients boost your skin’s hydration levels while repairing skin at the same time so you wake up with stronger, more resilient skin.

If you’re still suffering from parched post-winter skin, you’ll want to reach for a face mask that quickly hydrates and nourishes skin in need. Kiehl’s Avocado Nourishing Hydration Mask ($76) harnesses the powerful rejuvenating properties of vitamin-and-mineral-rich avocado extract to lock in moisture and revitalise skin.

The luxuriously creamy texture glides onto the skin to provide immediate comfort. Pressed and refined Avocado Oil, sourced from Spain and Italy, nourishes and boosts the skin’s barrier function with its potent blend of essential fatty acids while avocado fruit extract supports the skin’s own natural hydrating process.

Trilogy’s latest launch won’t just hydrate your skin – it’s also a joy to use. The jelly texture of  Trilogy Hydrating Jelly Mask ($37.99) instantly soothes and cools skin with its powerful blend of manuka honey, hyaluronic acid and Trilogy’s much-loved rosephip oil while a blend of refreshing kawakawa extract and aloe vera give skin a quick pick me. The end result is a radiance, firmer and smoother complexion.

Ruby’s Resort 2019 Collection is Here

Memories of sun-soaked days spent in the Coromandel serve as the inspiration behind Ruby’s resort collection, Local Honey.

Creative director Deanna Didovich has brought her favourite season to life with an uplifting colour palette and wearable silhouettes that will be at home on the beach and beyond.

It’s the colourful Bettina print that’s at the heart of the collection and is sure to turn heads this summer. The breathtaking soft watercolour florals feature on a handful of covetable designs including the must-have Bettina Cut-Out dress.

Local Honey also sees the launch of Ruby’s first swimwear collection.  A scoop neck one-piece, a bandeau and asymmetrical crop, and high-waisted bottoms, all in the colourful Bettina floral. The pieces not only look great but they’re better for the planet as they have been created from Econyl – a regenerated nylon made from recycled fishing nets and nylon waste.

Within the wider collection, Ruby has ensured that 20 per cent of the fabrics are completely traceable.

Local Honey is available in-store and online from 15 November.
