Born in London, England, 37-year-old Emily Blunt is one of Hollywood’s biggest actresses. Having starred in a wealth of critically acclaimed films, from The Devil Wears Prada and The Jane Austen Book Club to Edge of Tomorrow and Sicario, Blunt’s talent is no secret.

She used to have a serious stutter

Blunt had a bad stutter as a child, and tried various strategies from relaxation therapy to visualisation techniques to manage it. She began acting at the recommendation of a school teacher who thought it would improve her stutter – and it did!

She’s been married to husband John Krasinski for over 10 years

Blunt and Krasinski met in November 2008 and became engaged less than a year later. They married in Como, Italy on 10 July 2010 and share two children together. Recently the couple starred alongside one another in horror film A Quiet Placewhich Krasinski also directed.

But before him, she dated Michael Bublé

From 2005-2008, Blunt was in a relationship with Canadian singer Michael Bublé. Bublé even wrote a song about Blunt, called Everything, and Blunt’s vocals feature in his song Me and Mrs Jones. The pair shared a house together in Vancouver, Canada.

She’s musically talented

Blunt is not only a great singer, with her vocals featuring in the film Into the Woods, but a skilled cellist as well. In one of her earlier films, My Summer of Love, she used her cello skills on screen. She was even offered a record deal by a music producer at the age of sixteen.

She has a penchant for playing royals

Blunt has played numerous royals throughout her career. She made her professional stage debut in a play titled The Royal Family which starred Judi Dench. She has also played Queen Victoria in The Young Victoria in 2009 and she performed as 16th-century queen Catherine Howard in British drama Henry VIII.
