That’s based on newly-published data from aviation industry analytics firm Cirium, which listed Aeromexico as the world’s most on-time airline last month, followed by Azul Brazilian.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) was the highest ranked European carrier, landing at seventh, one place below Colombia’s Avianca and two below LATAM Airlines of Chile. Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways were among the bigger carriers to feature in the Latino-dominated top ten.
In Europe, Icelandair proved to be July’s most punctual carrier based on flights within the continent, with SAS, which has a wide intercontinental network taking in the Americas and Asia, coming in second, followed by Turkish, Finnair and Iberia.
And while Bangalore’s international airport had the best record for flights departing on time in July, Latin American hubs again featured high on the list of large airports with Mexico City’s Benito Juarez International Airport, an Aeromexico hub, ranked third.

Fourth on the list of big airports to set a watch to was São Paulo Congonhas, with Santiago International two slots farther down.
When it came to medium-sized airports, Latin America again was a table-topper with Panama City ranked number one, Brasilia second and Viracopos International, another Brazilian hub, coming in third.
And to cap it off, Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont Airport was the most timely small airport, a list that saw four Latin American hubs in the top five.
At 18th, Oslo-Gardermoen was the highest ranked major European hub on the global list, However no European airport made the medium-sized top 20, while Trondheim, at 17th, was the sole representative from the continent to make the top 20 list for small airports.
