Congratulations to all the wineries selected for the 2019 Fine Wines of New Zealand list. Curated by eight of New Zealand’s leading wine experts, the panel seeks world-class quality and consistency. Supported by Air New Zealand, the chosen Fine Wines must truly stand the test of time as a world-class example of New Zealand’s finest wine. The 2019 list includes 82 wines.
Through a rigorous process, which includes group tastings and collective agreement, Master Sam Harrop believes “the wines we have selected all have a personality and a character, a sense of place if you like.”
In 2016, Air New Zealand set about to develop a new premium wine programme, The Fine Wines of New Zealand. Through this now annual initiative, Air New Zealand not only supports the New Zealand wine industry but at the same time provides a point of difference for its Business Premier customers. The selection of Fine Wines are served onboard in Business Premier cabins throughout the year alongside the existing wine offering.
