As Meghan continues to navigate the unpleasant headlines created by her estranged father, she finds comfort in her special friendship with the Queen.

Born in two very different generations, coming from very different backgrounds, the Queen and Meghan are rather unlikely friends.

But according to reports, the pair’s friendship transcends all barriers, resulting in a bond with a very genuine care for one another.

Us Weekly reported that Her Majesty has been an “unlikely” source of support and advice for Meghan as she tries to work through her father’s accusations. Meghan is apparently very distraught about the ongoing press surrounding her family and feels as if there are no good options for how she should proceed. According to a source, Meghan has been suffering from acute anxiety as a result of her father’s behaviour, worrying that it will go on forever.

The Queen has reportedly been very supportive and sympathetic toward Meghan, realising how tough the situation is and that it’s out of the Duchess’ hands.

Meghan and the Queen reportedly formed a tight bond from the word go. According to a source, Her Majesty became fond of Meghan at their very first meeting. Obviously, she’s happy that Meghan makes her grandson very happy but she also liked the actress because she showed a keen intellect, polite manner and an eagerness to learn.
