The Queen receives Zoom lesson from Princess Anne
The Queen and Princess Anne share a special moment on the Queen's first video call.

If you struggled to get your head around video calling technology over lockdown, you have something in common with Queen Elizabeth II.

In a very sweet clip, which is part of an ITV documentary celebrating Princess Anne’s upcoming 70th birthday, Anne helps the Queen get the hang of Zoom for her first public video call.

In the clip, which was posted on Twitter by Chris Ship, ITV’s royal editor, Prince Anne asks the Queen: “Can you see everybody? You should have six people on your screen.”

The Queen responds: “Well, I can see four anyway.”

“Actually, you don’t need me. You know what I look like,” Anne laughs as she responds.

The call was the Queen’s first public video call and she joined her daughter Anne and four carers looking after family during the Covid-19 pandemic. During the 20-minute long call, the Queen and Anne spoke with the women about their experiences.

The new documentary Princess Royal: Anne at 70 will screen in the United Kingdom tomorrow. It is said to feature exclusive interviews and unseen family footage.
