The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Westminster Abbey this morning to begin a momentous day-long celebration to mark 100 years of the Royal Air Force with the Queen.
The Royals celebrated with dignitaries and politicians from around the world, including Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May. The service is the first of many events today in London, including the largest military flypasts in recent memory this afternoon (London time).

Up to 100 aircraft from Battle of Britain-era Spitfires and Lancaster Bombers to Britain’s cutting-edge F-35 stealth fighter jets will take to the skies from 12.45pm before thundering over Buckingham Palace 15 minutes later.
Thousands are expected to line the streets to catch a glimpse of the iconic flypast, while more than a thousand servicemen and women took part in a parade on The Mall.

It has been a busy 24 hours for the Royal family, with Prince Louis’ christening yesterday. Many were surprised not to see the Queen at the Christening, however with a busy week ahead celebrating the 100th year of the Royal Air Force, the Queen and Prince Phillip politely declined their invitation and stayed home to rest.
