The Crown shares first look at William and Kate from university days

We now have a first look at the actors playing a young William and Kate in upcoming series of The Crown. 

The new season of The Crown will follow Prince William as he begins his tertiary education at University in St Andrew’s, where he meets his soon-to-be-wife Kate Middleton.

Ed McVey plays William with newcomer Meg Bellamy cast as Kate, landing the role after submitting an audition tape to The Crown producers.

Photos released of the sixth season of The Crown show the actors walking together, with separate shots of them at university. The creators also shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the pair outside the Northpoint Cafe in St Andrews, the place where William and Kate where said to have met.
