MiNDFOOD Promotion
When it comes to European river cruising, it’s hard to fault Uniworld’s boutique offerings. Not only do guests travel in style, they’re also provided with once-in-a-lifetime experiences most travellers miss out on.
A CELEBRATION OF CULTURE
New in 2017 is the 10-day “Paris & Impressions of the Seine” cruise, celebrating French history, culture and cuisine. Beginning and ending in Paris, the journey takes you through countryside immortalised in art – trace the footsteps of Van Gogh in the town where he spent his last months, stroll among the colourful blooms of Monet’s glorious gardens in Giverny, then embrace the cultural splendour of Paris. See the sites on a panoramic tour or a boat trip through the heart of the city.
ART EXCURSIONS
One of the ways that this extraordinary trip differs to others is the numerous opportunities to immerse yourself in fascinating art and history through bespoke excursions. In Rouen, you can gaze at the stunning Gothic cathedral immortalised by Monet; you’ll also visit the harbour town of Honfleur, which the artist favoured as a backdrop in many of his paintings. You’ll stroll through the legendary gardens of Versailles, and have time to ponder the stunning artworks on display in Paris’ Musée d’Orsay.
RIVER BARONESS
The alluring River Baroness captures French joie de vivre with its sophisticated, and extremely luxurious, décor and design. A vibrant colour scheme – coral, salmon and pink – blushes the walls of the Monet Lounge and lobby, while mirrors and a classic white palette lend elegance to the Van Gogh Restaurant. A collection of art can be found throughout, so you’ll be immersed in local culture both on and off the ship.
Like all Uniworld cruises, the “Paris & Impressions of the Seine” is completely inclusive, from accommodation on board River Baroness to all meals and beverages, shore excursions, entertainment, ship-wide wi-fi, signature lectures and much more.
The 10-day “Paris & Impressions of the Seine” itinerary is available on River Baroness sailings from March 2017. For more information, visit uniworld.com/au or call 1300 780 231.
