Who took home the trophies at the 2017 Emmy Awards?

This year’s Primetime Emmy Awards drew Hollywood’s finest talent to the Microsoft Centre in Los Angeles, California. Hosted by Stephen Colbert, the prestigious awards pitted television’s biggest stars against one another in one of the toughest events yet. Read on for the winners of the main awards.

Nicole Kidman in winning the Emmy Award for Best Actress in Big Little Lies, uses her moment well. Thanking cast, crew, agents, her husband and daughters, her best moment was bringing domestic violence into the spotlight once more. This show matters, she says, because through it “we shine a light on domestic abuse. It exists far more than we allow ourselves to know. This award shines a light on it even more.” Take a bow.
