Taupō Winter Festival
Make the most of the school holidays and celebrate art, culture and fun at the Taupō Winter Festival this July.

The third annual Taupō Winter Festival features 25 events over five days this school holidays. From 11-15 July you will be encouraged to participate in a celebration of the arts, culture and a whole lot of fun with events and performances for the whole family.

For the kids (and kids at heart!), there is a giant inflatable snow globe with snow directly from neighbouring Mt Ruapehu. The fun zone will see a the domain fun or activities, including a 35m long Mission Impossible inflatable obstacle course. There will be live music and entertainment on the streets and in the Domain and you can find your creativity at one of the several art stations on offer.

Two highlights of the festival are the incredible Light Trail, on from 12th – 21st July, as well as the community pancake breakfast that feeds 1200 delicious servings of pancakes with all the trimmings in 3 hours. There will also be five evening ticketed shows. The Royal New Zealand Ballet ‘Tutus on Tour’ is the first and promises to be a wonderful spectacle for all ages.

With 25 events over five days, there really is something for everyone to enjoy.
