Tantalising Dry July events and offerings across Aotearoa
The annual Dry July fundraiser kicks off this week, with thousands of people giving up the drink to raise funds for important charities.

This year’s New Zealand campaign is supporting Look Good Feel Better NZ, PINC & STEEL NZ and Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand to help care for people affected by cancer.

From tantalising alcohol-free tastings to delicious food and drink collabs, those taking part in the month of sobriety don’t have to worry about going without.

Alcohol-free drink makers Curious AF have opened New Zealand’s first-ever alcohol-free bottle shop. Located in Ponsonby Central, the gallery-like pop-up is a fantastic place to discover some of the world’s finest alcohol-free drinks, along with Curious AF’s delicious range. Throughout the month, the team are hosting samplings of beer, wine, cider, spirits and their own Curious collection.

My Food Bag has teamed up with Garage Project to offer their tasty non-alcoholic beer pairings with their weekly meal kits. Featured in the My Choice bag, customers will get an exclusive 4-pack of Garage Project’s Tiny non-alcoholic beer, made to be enjoyed alongside specially-made spice blends in the dishes.

If you’re looking to discover some delicious new tipples this month, Lyre’s Spirits has a tantalising range of non-alcoholic spirit variants that are perfect for whipping up cocktails. As the official 2022 Dry July Campaign Partner, 10 per cent of all sales from the Lyre’s website will be donated to the Dry July NZ Trust. Their range of 18 non-alcoholic spirits are crafted to create 99 per cent of the world’s cocktails, from a classic Dry London, to Italian Spritz and even an Absinthe equivalent.
