A stunning outdoor cinema is popping up in Sydney Harbour this summer
The Westpac OpenAir cinema is hosting 40 nights of spectacular film, food and entertainment.

Sydneysiders have new unmissable event to head along to this summer.

The iconic Westpac OpenAir, dubbed the ‘World’s Most Beautiful Cinema’ returns to the Royal Botanic Garden, offering stunning harbour views from Mrs Macquaries Point.

Kicking off from 8 January – 21 February 2023, the outdoor cinema will be showcasing 40 nights of films, including the latest premieres, award season favourites and the year’s biggest box office hits.

The opening night film is Steven Spielberg’s The Fablemans. Other big films in the programme include Babylon, Tár, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Banshees of Inisherin, Triangle of Sadness, She Said and Empire of Light. A number of classics also feature on the bill, including the original 1986 Top Gun, Titanic and Cinema Paradiso.

Perfect for a romantic date night or get together with friends, the Westpac OpenAir cinema features a fantastic lineup of gastronomical offerings, including a European Summer inspired menu by Mike McEnearney. As the sun sets, get into the summer spirit while Sydney’s top DJs hit the decks in the lead up to the film.

The massive 350 square metre screen offers a standout cinema experience as it rises from the harbour, boasting surround sound, comfy seating and an enchanting backdrop of the Sydney harbour and skyline.
