1. ROSY GLOW
Think just-got-out-of-bed fresh with flushed cheeks.
Make-up novice: Enhance eyes with a shimmering neutral shadow and black mascara. Add colour to cheeks and lips with sheer tones of pink to rose. Use your fingers to blot on a coloured lip balm or try a gloss for fuller-looking lips. Use a powder blush for cheeks.
Make-up maven: Use pink powder shadow on eyelids, followed with brown or black gel liner on the upper lashline. Blend cream blush on cheeks. Dust pink highlighter onto cheekbones. Outline and fill in lips with pink liner and gloss.
2. SANDWASHED
A nude look that’s breezy and sophisticated.
Make-up novice: Brush on black mascara. To give cheekbones a lift and keep your skin from looking flat, dust a warm pink or apricot blush on the apples of your cheeks. Take the natural colour of your lips up a notch with creamy lipstick in sandy pink, nude or peach.
Make-up maven: For a summer take on the smoky eye, sweep brown shadow from lashline to crease. Line eyes with mahogany brown shadow. Apply black mascara. Dust on blush. Finish with lipstick and a dab of gloss.

3. BRIGHTS
Splashes of colour brighten your look.
Make-up novice: Choose shadows that have a neutral base with a hint of pigment, such as shell pink or gold. It’s best to wear colour on just one part of your face, so stick to nude shades on cheeks and lips. Don’t go more than one tone lighter than your own lips.
Make-up maven: Try shades of pale green, blue or lavender shadow dusted from lashline to crease. Line eyes with a liquid liner that’s the same tone as the shadow, but deeper and more intense. Balance is key, so keep cheeks and lips neutral.
