Now the rug supplier has expanded the range with beautiful new additions, influenced by the work of Katsushika Hokusai, Edvard Munch, Georgia O’Keeffe, Maurits Cornelis Escher, Barbara Hepworth, Juan Gris, Tamara de Lempicka and Gretchen Albrecht.
The artistic stylings of these renowned artists have been reinvented into contemporary rugs, hand-knotted with luxurious pure silk and New Zealand wool.
Just as the five original pieces within the collection – inspired by artists Paul Klee, Gustav Klimt, Pablo Picasso, Egon Schiele and Georges Braque – allowed for a modern energy to be expressed within the home, the new rugs within the Modern Art range reflect up-to-the-minute design trends with their use of rich hues, mixed textures and sculptural forms.
