In Sydney or passing through?
If you’re seeking a skin-transforming facial or a relaxing body indulgence, the newly opened Sofitel SPA Darling Harbour is well-worth a visit.
Set across two stories overlooking Darling Harbour, the Sofitel SPA aims to redefine a wellbeing offering within a hotel environment, offering tailored treatments as well as special experiences that go for 3 to 5 hours.
There are seven spacious treatment rooms including two suites beautifully designed by award-winning design firm, PikeWithers. One suite features a bath overlooking Darling Harbour and the spa also boasts an infrared sauna, contemplation deck and relaxation lounge.
The treatments are designed to balance French indulgence with Australian authenticity. Bespoke facials are available using respected active French skincare from Biologique Recherche, or a more sensory journey through aromatherapy and ritual is in offer from emerging Australian brand Waterlily.
Body treatments include the Basil and Mint & Lime and Caviar Skin Smoothers, which are head-to-toe skin buffs that include a full body dry brushing technique, followed by a sugar exfoliation to leave skin hydrated and detoxified. Body wraps are also available and feature the Lemongrass & Citrus wrap including a body polish and rich wrap with blend of lemongrass and citrus rind oils steeped in a green tea crème mousse, as well as the Organic Honey wrap which deeply hydrates the skin with rich cocoa and honey steeped in vanilla crème mousse.
The spa also offers couples packages and an array of enhancements from Petit Spa Facials to a French Rose Hand Treatment, Botanical Foot Treatment and hair and scalp nourishment add-ons.
A wellness journey adjusted to suit each changing season offers a five-hour experience that starts with an invigorating swim in the outdoor swimming pool, or a Peloton spin session. Then, relax into a body polish and wrap, a massage, Organic Apple Collagen Facial before enjoying a a light lunch by Executive Chef Sam Moore. Afterwards, you can choose between a guided meditation or mandala colouring to allow your mind to rest, unwind, and reflect.
The crème de la crème of extended treatments is the signature ‘Urban Wellness Escape’ that combines a stay in the hotel suite with canapés and drinks on arrival, and a bespoke three-hour spa experience, followed by a three-course wellness dining menu you can eat in Club Millésime in the privacy of your suite. Before bed, the team will prepare a relaxing aromatic bath ritual and tn the morning you get to enjoy a wellness breakfast before being sent on your way with a personalised gift and luxury transfer.
