Star-studded line-up announced for bushfire relief concert
The line-up for a concert to raise funds for bushfire relief in Australia has been announced.

Queen + Adam Lambert will be the headline act for Fire Fight Australia, a one-off concert to be held at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on 16 February.

The band is performing at the stadium the night before, meaning their set could be used for the benefit concert – saving up to $1 million in production costs.

Alice Cooper and k.d. lang have also signed on for the event, as well as a host of Australian acts including Amy Shark, Daryl Braithwaite, and Olivia Newton-John to name a few.

While additional acts are yet to be announced, tickets have gone on sale.

The nine-hour concert will be hosted by comedian Celeste Barber, whose online fundraiser for bushfire relief has raised more than $50 million.

Profits from ticket sales will go towards rural and regional fire services, the Red Cross and the RSPCA.

There are 70,000 tickets up for grabs, but organisers will also consider live-streaming and broadcasting the concert so more people are able to watch and donate.
