The legendary English rock band says the new unisex fine fragrance, called RS No 9, captures their spirit in a bottle.
So what does it smell like? Well, not like Mick exactly. Instead, it’s an amber-woody scent.
With a touch of edge and elegance, the limited-edition perfume aims to captures the energy, freedom and rebellious vibes of Soho, London, 1962, where the band was formed.
“Bourbon-infused notes of velvet swagger onto center stage as warm leather brawls under electric musk, while tempting patchouli and sultry oud seductively linger,” says a release announcing the RS No.9 perfume.
“Deep, earthy oak adds a mysterious, intimate layer that echoes The Rolling Stones’ ability to captivate audiences.”
Drilling down deeper, it has top notes of bergamot and lemon, middle notes of leather, oak and labdanum and its base notes are oud, musk and patchouli.
The apothecary-style bottle features graffiti-style lyrics from Rolling Stones’ famous songs, as well as the iconic lips and tongue logo.
Developed in collaboration with category expert Nirvana Brands, the bad news is, it’s limited to just 999 numbered bottles, that were promptly snapped-up on release from the band’s flagship store on Carnaby Street, London.
Given its swift popularity, we’re awaiting news of a re-stock.
