Ole Henriksen has a surprising new collaborator.
The hard-working skincare brand created by the LA skincare expert and esthetician of the same name, is teaming up with fellow LA resident Anine Bing (pictured).
Bing is an influencer turned fashion designer, who founded her hip eponymous fashion label back in 2012. She has been named Ole Henriksen’s first ‘Global Scandi Brand Advisor’.
The pair both have Danish heritage, something they are calling on as they work towards a revamp of the Ole Henriksen brand and it’s famous LA spa as well as better connections with fans of the brand, according to an interview in WWD.
“There’s a synergy there for sure,” said Bing, pointing to a shared lifestyle philosophy, rooted in Scandinavian culture and “simplicity”.
“Less is more,” she says. “We kept coming back to that. And that’s the way [it is] in my own closet, I keep on cleaning out. Same for skin care. You don’t need a million products. You just need a few products that really work.”
Bing picks Truth Juice Daily Cleanser, Lemonade Smoothing Scrub and Banana Bright+ Eye Crème as her Ole Henriksen ‘go-tos’.
First launched in the 80s on the back of Henriksen’s success as a go-to facialist for celebrities, the Ole Henriksen brand will mark its 40th anniversary this year. The brand was acquired in 2011 by Kendo Brands, the beauty brand incubator owned by LVMH, and is available locally through Sephora.
