A sweet story is emerging from Auckland New Zealand about four sisters Hannah, Ashleigh, Georgia and Kellie Habgood, who are playing matchmaker to their 60-year-old mum Jan. In their determination to find their mum a new love the Habgood sisters created a blog called The Sea, as they say “in an effort to help find our mum a man. Her name is Jan and she is awesome.”

Jan has been single for 10 years now following the split from her husband, father of the four girls. The ‘Game Plan’ is that the girls will receive applications on behalf of their mum, shortlisting those that suit her busy and adventurous lifestyle. As the girls explain, “She’s super busy with life and work and having four daughters so she has her hands full”. Despite this the girls say she is ready to share her life with someone special again who compliments her lifestyle.
They are encouraging men to apply directly via their website or people who know of anyone suitable to apply for them.
“Something is holding mum back from getting back into the scene. It is so frustrating to see someone so easy to love and so deserving of love, not believe it.”
“Yep, it’s a bit scary. But there’s only one life people, and fear won’t get you anywhere.”
