Shaded Cries (Corona Story) – Poem
A poem by one of our readers, Lila Maffitt. Are you a Budding Poet? Have your poem published in MiNDFOOD magazine too.

Shaded cries bend beyond the headlines.

Who then shalt not be frightened.

How dull we were;

How dumb we were.

Numbers towering above all else.

Do our efforts do it justice?

Stuck;

in a sequence that grapples to change thoughts.

But we do…

Intertwined among the souls on our hands.

The war afoot grasped

For a chance, but at last.

World bending, not towards frost: the war not won,

But all have changed, the future un-clouded.

Now fighting the shaded cries,

Together.
