Selma Blair has had an incredibly successful career as an actress, starring in leading roles and winning multitudes of awards. However it is her latest project, Introducing, Selma Blair that really is the role of her life.
The documentary explores her personal acceptance and resilience as she deals with living a life of disability.
Blair has always been open about her disease, sharing her diagnosis on Instagram.
Asked about her decision to bare all for the documentary, Blair told Vanity Fair, “I had the conviction of thinking I had something to share. You keep opening windows or closing doors and finding tools. I hope my little life gives someone who needs it some hope or a laugh or more awareness of ourselves. I hope the film shows that M.S. varies. That people’s strengths and weaknesses vary. All the emotions of life make healing variable too. For all of us.”
Introducing, Selma Blair will open in theatres in America before launching on Discovery+ on October 21.
