See the Looks: Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2026 Collection Explores Clothing’s Performative Aspect
Louis Vuitton has presented its Women’s Cruise 2026 collection, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, at Palais des Papes in Avignon.

The collection explores “the performative aspect of clothing, its inherent artistic value, its narrative force, and the emotional power it unleashes”, the Maison said.

“Whether for everyday or exceptional occasions, clothing has the power — as we all know from experience — to transform mood, appearance, and character: to play an essential supporting role.”

Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Women Collections, in collaboration with artist Es Devi in, presented a show set design that aspired to guide guests through the architectural and cultural significance of one of France’s most important monuments.

The runway, beginning with a single-line passerelle set within the empty stalls of the Cour d’honneur theatre, celebrated the Palais des Papes’ role as a monument to contemporary and modern culture, house to multiple opera and theatre performances each year.
