Second person dies from COVID-19 in WA
A second man from Western Australia has died from COVID-19.

The man in his 70s has died in Joondalup Hospital in Perth.

It brings Australia’s death toll from COVID-19 to 13.

It was originally reported the man was a passenger on the infected Ruby Princess that docked in Sydney last week, but in fact he was a passenger on another unidentified cruise.

There have been seven deaths in NSW, one in Queensland and three in Victoria.

More than 2800 cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed across Australia.
