Transforming the saloon style room next door to his CBD restaurant, Connolly is hopping on the burger bandwagon, giving Sydneysiders more of what they are craving: pocket-friendly buns with tasty fillings.
To celebrate the opening, Connolly, a New Zealand native who also helms the thriving Grill By Sean Connolly in Auckland’s Sky Tower, will be giving away 1,000 free burgers on opening day next Monday from 12pm-2pm.
These won’t be your run-of-mill hamburgers either; menu items include a Chicken Quinoa Burger and The Black Widow: a spicy ground beef burger assembled on a charcoal brioche bun made with vegetable carbon.
Traditionalists will love the Original Morrison Burger or Fish Butty, with special touches like house made chipotle mayo or pickles.
And no burger menu is complete without killer sides, so deep fried pickles and parmesan slaw are some of the highlights here ($6 each).
Parlour Burger opens Monday 25 November: 225 George Street, Sydney. Open 11.30am till late
