How does the 'Miss Congeniality' star stay healthy inside and out? Here's a look into Sandra Bullock's wellness routine.

The 58-year-old follows a simple diet and exercise regime that helps her stay in shape and nourish her body.

Cardio workouts

Bullock works out with celebrity trainer Simone De La Rue, who uses ten-minute interval workouts of strength-training movements and high-intensity cardio. Simone told Women’s Health she will sometimes incorporate resistance bands for strength and dance or skipping for cardio. She also enjoys yoga and pilates, the trainer says.

“There’s always cardio like dance, jump roping or rebounding. Then we alternate between 10-minute intervals of high-intensity cardio and strength training moves that focus on different body parts,” De La Rue told Women’s Health.

Portion control

Bullock focuses on controlled meal portions and sticks to fresh, free-range food. She enjoys chicken and turkey meals that are sugar and gluten-free, CBS News reports. The star eats throughout the day to ensure her metabolism remains high.

Cheat days

While the Sandra Bullock wellness routine involves healthy eating most of the time, she sets aside one day a week to indulge. “I start Friday night and I end Saturday night,” she told InStyle about her set aside splurge day.

Wellness philosophy

The star has a balanced mindset when it comes to life, once saying: “I never did anything according to what anyone else wanted. That’s why I think I am happy. I do everything 100% — even my stupidest missteps. I know when I’m getting ready to mess up, I’m going to do it full-on.” She’s also a strong believer in spontaneity, having said: “I now know that anything sweet, really sweet, that I have was nothing that I planned.”
