The Royal couple are on their way to Australia, but what Royal protocol did Ms. Markle break?

The Royal couple have continued their campaign in the lead up to the Sydney Invictus Games by meeting Australian veterans at an event to promote the Games for wounded personnel at Australia House in London.

The event was held by Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull and wife Lucy, who invited the Royal pair to Bondi Beach while they are in Sydney. During the event, the Royal couple also met with Australian and British vetrans who have competed at the Games in previous years.  Prince Harry launched the Paralympic-style Invictus Games — for wounded and recovering service members and veterans from around the world— in London in 2014, followed by Orlando in 2016 and Toronto in 2017.

While Kensington Palace has not made any formal announcement that Ms. Markle will accompany Prince Harry to Sydney, the future Royal let her excitement slip at a recent Invictus training day in Bath.

However, it appears Ms. Markle broke the Queen’s number one rule today, while at the event. Ms. Markle wore bare legs during a public appearance, which the Queen forbids. It appears Ms. Markle is making the most of her last days before she becomes as official member of the Royal Family. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle get married in less than a month at Windsor Castle, on May 19, 2018.

The Invictus Games will be held in Sydney from October 20-27.
