For one-night-only, Roku gin brings a six-course omakase dinner to the Glasshouse
Its officially the first day of autumn and to celebrate, Japanese gin-maker Roku is hosting an special, one-off dining event in Auckland's Morningside suburb. 

Inspired by the Japanese concept of “shun” which is about harvesting a peak flavour and perfection, the Roku Gin Autumn Seasonal Supper brings together botanical gins, Japanese fare and fascinating performances.

For one-night-only on Thursday 30 March, the event takes place at the beautiful Glasshouse in Auckland’s Morningside suburb.

Taking inspiration from the six botanicals that make up Roku gin, guests will be treated to a six-course omakase menu featuring dishes like scampi poached in sakura and yuzu dashi, gyokuro and sansho pepper marinated pork gyoza and sencha infused cauliflower yakitori  with miso.

Paired with the food will be a curated selection of Roku gin cocktails, including the brightly flavoured Sloely Count to Six’ made with Roku, sloe gin and grapefruit juice and a punchy ‘Dirty Rokutini’ featuring Roku, daikon pickle brine and apple marigold garnish.

Completing the immersive experience will be stunning light displays and a performance of Japanese taiko music.

The Roku Gin Autumn Seasonal Supper is on Thursday, 30 March at 6pm. Tickets are priced at $200pp and include a bottle of Roku gin take home. Tickets on sale from Friday 3 March, book at EventBrite.
