Acting as a launchpad for awards season contenders, the festival featured A-listers galore, and served up many fashion highlights.
The festival first launched in 1976 and has grown into a global platform for filmmakers, industry professionals and movie enthusiasts.
The event showcases a diverse range of films, from international blockbusters to indie gems, and is one of the most prestigious and widely attended film festivals in the world.
Take a look at some of the most memorable fashion looks from the festival this year:
Cate Blanchett was in Louis Vuitton for the premiere of ‘Rumours’, wearing a trompe-l’oeil gown featuring a silver embroidered jacket and black silk cady skirt, leather corset belt and black pumps. She also wore V for Vuitton earrings and LV Heritage rings.
