Put your best face forward

Dysport anti-wrinkle treatment works to deliver natural-looking results* that last up to six months.

Seeking a younger-looking appearance? There’s no doubt great skincare and taking steps to protect your complexion from environmental damage are key to slowing the signs of aging, but these approaches can only do so much to minimise the wrinkles formed as a result of our natural expression and movement.

The good news is that Dysport anti-wrinkle treatment can provide an effective option for reducing the appearance of frown lines and crow’s-feet.

As part of the Galderma Aesthetics Collection, Dysport is a botulinum toxin anti-wrinkle treatment that’s been used in New Zealand since 1992 and is widely available throughout the country. Administered by a Cosmetic Practitioner in clinic, Dysport provides the ability to treat lines by temporarily reducing specific muscle activity, preventing those muscles from contracting, thus smoothing and improving the appearance of wrinkles.

Natural-looking results*

Letting our emotions play out on our face is an essential part of the way we communicate, so the ability to retain our natural expression in treated areas, like the smile lines around our eyes, enables us to look younger without appearing ‘frozen’; also an important consideration when choosing which treatment route to take.

While some people are nervous about anti-wrinkle cosmetic injectable treatments looking obvious, in 2020 the results of a 13-month Dysport Real-world Evaluation And Measured (DREAM) satisfaction study showed Dysport’s ability to deliver subtle, natural-looking results.* Ninety seven per cent of patients reported they thought their treatment with Dysport, which was twice-yearly, looked natural.*

Lasting satisfaction

With busy lives and schedules to juggle, finding time to fit in clinic appointments can be tricky, so the less time seeking treatment, the better.

One of the benefits of treatment with Dysport is that you can achieve great results when you need them, and they stick around. If you have had botulinum toxin treatments before, you may find yourself impressed with Dysport’s speed, duration and results.

Although improvements are generally expected within 72 hours, the DREAM study showed that around one third of those treated noticed results within 24 hours. It also showed that results lasted up to six months and that 95% of those patients in the study were satisfied with twice-yearly treatment.

At the end of the study period, 98% of participants, including both men and women, said they would like to receive Dysport treatment again and 97% would recommend Dysport treatment to their family or friends.

Dysport has a favourable safety profile based on over three decades of clinical experience.§ All aesthetic treatments should be carried out by a licensed healthcare professional with risks clearly explained before treatment is undertaken.

†Dysport lasted six months in 37% and 50% of patients after the first treatment in cycles one and two of the DREAM study, in glabellar lines.
