The Princess of Wales was greeted by cheers from the crowd and a standing ovation as she attended the Wimbledon final on Sunday.

In what was only her second public appearance this year, the Princess attended the event alongside her daughter Princess Charlotte and sister Pippa.

The royals watched the men’s singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. With Alcaraz taking home the title, Catherine presented the trophy to the Spanish player following the match.

The Princess is known to be a tennis fan and is also the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon.

Upon arriving at Centre Court to watch the final, Catherine smiled and waved to spectators.

The Princess has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy for an unspecified form of cancer after major abdominal surgery in January revealed the presence of the disease.

Her attendance at Wimbledon comes after she appeared at Trooping the Colour, the annual parade making the birthday of the monarch, in June.
