The royal shared she is “not out of the woods”, though she confirmed she will attend the Trooping the Colour on Saturday. This will mark her first public appearance since surgery revealed the presence of cancer earlier this year.
In a personal written message released on Friday, Kate said she had been “blown away” by the thousands of kind messages from across the globe that followed her cancer announcement in March.
She said they had made a world of difference to her and her husband, Prince William.
To mark the news Kensington Palace also released a stunning new portrait of the princess taken at Windsor this week by Matt Porteous showing her looking well and in a reflective mood.

Her improved health means she will be able to appear in public for the first time since last December, when she joined other senior royals for an annual Christmas Day church service.
On Saturday morning, Kate, 42, will accompany her three children, Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, in a carriage during “Trooping the Colour”.
Trooping the Colour is a traditional military parade held at Horse Guards Parade to mark the British Sovereign’s official birthday. It will be the second Trooping the Colour held for King Charles III since he ascended to the throne.
