Prince William and the Princess of Wales met with well-wishers after viewing flowers laid outside the royal Sandringham Estate in eastern England to honour the queen.

The new Prince of Wales stopped to chat with many people in the crowd, including 10-year-old Casper Tucknall, who said they talked about school and football.

”I think them two are new best friends really because they just bonded so much because they talked for a long time,” said his sister Poppy.

The children’s mother said the visit from the royals was a ‘historic moment for them.

The senior members of Royal Family spent the day in different parts of the U.K viewing tributes and memorials for the Queen.

The body of the late Queen Elizabeth is now lying in state in London’s ancient Westminster Hall, where tens of thousands are waiting patiently in line to pay their final respects to Britain’s longest-reigning monarch.
