Princess Mary celebrates Prince Christian’s confirmation with Danish royal family

Denmark's Prince Frederick and Princess Mary joined their family for the confirmation of their eldest son, Prince Christian.

The handsome 15 year-old royal attended the ceremony at Fredensborg Palace Church, in Fredensborg, Denmark on Saturday. He looked relaxed as he waved to fans as his brother and sisters supported him on his special day.

The confirmation was a private ceremony with only 25 guests, and was presided by the Royal Confessor, Bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen.

Crown Prince Frederik was confirmed at the same church 40 years ago.

Queen Margrethe, 81, joined the family for the celebrations looking elegant in a coral coat dress and a matching fascinator.

Prior to the event, the royal family shared a collection of memories via Instagram in celebration of his confirmation.
