Princess Kate’s Iconic Wimbledon Looks Throughout the Years
The Princess of Wales has been a staple at Wimbledon for many years.

As the patron of the prestigious All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, she traditionally presents the winning trophy each year. However, as she undergoes cancer treatment this year, her appearance remains uncertain.

From days on the green with her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, to bringing her children for their first Wimbledon experience, we reminisce on some of our favourite Princess of Wales Wimbledon moments.

For her debut Wimbledon appearance as a royal, Kate chose a chic, simple, and sophisticated look. While watching the match between Andy Murray and Richard Gasquet, she wore a summery white pleated Moraiah dress from Temperley London. She completed the ensemble with personal jewelry, L.K. Bennett Sledge Pumps, and a Stuart Weitzman Muse Clutch.

For her first appearance in 2012, Kate wowed in this cream and navy Alexander McQueen dress, and eagle-eyed fans noticed she wore this piece quite often in the first year of becoming a royal.

Attending with Meghan the Duchess of Sussex in 2018, Kate wore a very on-theme ensemble: a bespoke dress by Jenny Packham that featured a black tennis ball pattern throughout. She paired it with her Dolce & Gabbana Sicily Bag and Ray-Ban Chris sunglasses. The match saw Spain’s Rafael Nadal continue his semi final match against Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, which was suspended the day before.

For her first Wimbledon appearance in 2019, Kate chose the charming Flippy Wiggle Dress by Suzannah. She complemented the dress with a matching black belt from Alexander McQueen and black Gianvito Rossi Piper Suede Pumps.

Kate turned heads in 2019, and it wasn’t just because of her guests. The royal wore a green Dolce & Gabanna dress and her go-to Dolce & Gabbana Sicily Bag in 2019 when attending with sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, and sister, Pippa Matthews.

The Royal was seen in the Royal Box before Novak Djokovic of Serbia played against Jannik Sinner of Italy during their Men’s Singles Quarter Final match on day nine of The Championships Wimbledon 2022. The vibrant blue, polka-dotted Alessandra Rich dress instantly became one of her most well-known Wimbledon looks.

The Princess returned to polka dots with a striking blue Alessandra Rich dress, complete with a chic bow-tie neckline and white pumps.

The Princess made a stylish debut at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, paying homage to the iconic sporting event with her green and white ensemble.

She chose a double-breasted mint green Balmain blazer featuring white lapels and buttons, paired elegantly with a white pleated skirt and Gianvito Rossi pumps. Completing her chic look were accessories including a white leather Mulberry bag and jewellery from Shyla London and Sezane, adding the perfect finishing touches to her outfit.

For the Wimbledon Men’s Finals with his eldest children in 2023, Kate looked lovely in another stunning green ensemble. She debuted a new piece: an elegant emerald green Roland Mouret Short Sleeve Cady Midi Dress.
