Unexpectedly, Princess Eugenie has taken to social media to open up about her personal struggles with the condition scoliosis.

The Princess of York took to Instagram this weekend, and revealed some of her medical records, showing everyone the impact that the condition has had on her body. The royal wrote: “Today is International Scoliosis Awareness Day and I’m very proud to share my X Rays for the very first time. I also want to honour the incredible staff at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital who work tirelessly to save lives and make people better. They made me better and I am delighted to be their patron of the Redevelopment Appeal.”

She also shared a link to a website that details more of her personal story, and an emotional video for the Awareness Day. Princess Eugenie revealed, “I’m living proof that all these young people who have the same thing I have, maybe more so, or not, I have done it, I’ve been through it, and I want to be able to help as much as I can.”

Princess Eugenie is preparing for her wedding to Jack Brooksbank later this year. Set to take place on October 12, 2018, she will marry her fiancé at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, the very same location that Meghan Markle married Prince Harry.
