Princess Beatrice has reportedly cancelled her engagement party as controversy continues to swirl around Prince Andrew’s friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to UK newspaper the Mail on Sunday, Beatrice changed the date amid fears there would be “too many photographers outside” the venue looking for Prince Andrew.

Beatrice, 31, had already sent out invitations for the bash to be held at London club Chiltern Firehouse on December 18.

The Mail on Sunday reports the venue choice was considered to be “too high-profile given the sensitive time her family is going through”.

It’s unclear whether a new date has been set.

Beatrice became engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 36, earlier this year and has not yet announced details of their wedding, due to take place next year.

News of the cancellation comes after Beatrice’s father, Prince Andrew, announced he would be stepping back from royal duties amid the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

The Prince had given a trainwreck interview to the BBC regarding his friendship with paedophile Epstein.

During the interview, Andrew gave bizarre justifications for his relationship with the billionaire and his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell.

Epstein was accused of running a paedophile ring with the help of Maxwell.

Since the interview, a second Epstein victim has come forward claiming to have had sex with Prince Andrew.

Prince Andrew has already strenuously denied allegations from Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts, who claims she was ordered to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was 17.

Buckingham Palace has said it won’t be commenting on the latest claims.

With drama continuing to build for the family, many are wondering what the future holds for Princess Beatrice and her sister Eugenie.
