Prince Harry has arrived in Sydney to mark the start of a 500 day countdown for the 2018 Invictus Games.
The Prince announced Sydney would be the next host of the Paralympic style Games for injured veterans last year, and has been a key patron of the event. The Games began in London in 2014, and since then have gone to Florida and most recently in Toronto.

In making the announcement, Prince Harry mentioned how the world had been moved by the courage of the participants, as they overcame their challenges in order to compete. “The Invictus Games have shown us what can be achieved when wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women rediscover their fighting spirit through sport,” said the Prince. “We have all been inspired.”
While in Sydney to promote the Games, it is understood that the Prince will also attend several official engagements including a sports demonstration at Circular Quay and watching a sailing race on Sydney Harbour.
