Prince Harry and fiance Meghan Markle embarked on their second official public outing yesterday. The newly engaged couple visited Brixton-based community station Reprezent Radio to see the company’s work supporting young people through broadcasting and radio training.
Arriving to large crowds, Meghan took the time to greet members of the public and receive flowers before entering the building. The 36-year-old American beauty looked radiant in a thick oatmeal coat and black jumpsuit.
The couple met volunteers of the station and chatted about their experience with radio and how Reprezent has helped them. The station’s broadcasting and radio programme was established in 2008 in an effort to combat rising knife crime. More than 4000 youth have been trained through the Reprezent programme.
Prince Harry and Meghan’s first official engagement took place in December when they visited the Terrence Higgins Trust on World Aids Day in Nottingham. Meghan then spent Christmas with the royal family, joining the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at a Sandringham church service on Christmas Day.
The couple’s visit to Reprezent Radio marked another radio experience for Prince Harry, who famously interviewed former US President Barack Obama last year.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry at St George’s Chapel on the Queen’s Windsor Estate on May 19.
