Royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in Rome for the wedding of Meghan’s best friend Misha Nonoo.
Fashion designer Nonoo wed fiance Michael Hess, an American energy entrepreneur, on Friday.
Nonoo was a guest at Harry and Meghan’s wedding at Windsor Castle last year, so it’s no surprise the invitation has been reciprocated.
Nonoo chose their wedding as her first public appearance with then-boyfriend Hess.
A high-profile affair
The Duke and Duchess weren’t the only A-list celebrities in attendance at the star-studded wedding.
Singer Katy Perry and her fiance Orlando Bloom joined Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, while Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner also attended the high-profile festivities.
Hello! magazine reports that the wedding venue was the prestigious Villa Aurelia, a stunning 17th-century villa which commands majestic views over the Italian capital.
It’s understood the wedding ceremony started at 6pm in order to coincide with sunset, followed by a gala dinner and dance.
Celebrations are expected to continue onto Saturday, with various trips and excursions planned for the many friends, family and famous faces.
Hello! magazine also reports that the dress code is full-length dresses for the ladies and tuxedos for the gentlemen.
It’s set to be a whirlwind few days for Harry and Meghan, who fly to Cape Town on Sunday for the start of their Royal Tour of Southern Africa.
Baby Archie isn’t joining them for the wedding but will be reunited with mum and dad when the trio land in South Africa.
At just four months old, it will be Archie’s first Royal Tour – but certainly the first of many.
After coming under intense scrutiny for taking several trips by private jet over the past month, it’s understood that Harry and Meghan landed in Rome on a commercial flight.
