Unfortunately his cheers weren’t enough to spur England to victory, and his elation turned to despondence when the team lost.
Prince George is perhaps every England football fan right now – from Sheer ecstasy of Luke Shaw goal to heart break of watching Rashford, Sancho and Saka miss Penalties!
Football will come home, not today but someday!

Earlier in the match, seven-year-old George was happily cheering on the Three Lions with encouragement from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The young football fanatic reportedly begged his parents to let him attend the match.
Following the game, Prince William tweeted that the result was “heartbreaking” and congratulated the Italians on their win.
Heartbreaking. Congratulations @Azzurri on a great victory.
@England, you’ve all come so far, but sadly this time it wasn’t our day. You can all hold your heads high, and be so proud of yourselves — I know there’s more to come. W— The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (@KensingtonRoyal) July 11, 2021
