The burger festival will make its return from Monday 26 May until Sunday 8 June, with more than 30 Ponsonby hotspots getting involved.
Coinciding with International Burger Day on Wednesday 28 May, PonsonBurger will celebrate burgers in all forms, from classic to cutting-edge, savoury to sweet.

Venues participating this year include:
Azabu, Bambina Café, Barker’s Food Store & Eatery, Bedford Soda & Liquor, Better Burger, Café 39 feat. Kane’s Burger Club, Chapel Bar, Crack Chicken, Daphnes, Eat Drink Laugh, Edie’s Wine Bar, Farina, Fatima’s, Gaja, Hoppers Garden Bar, INCA, Jacuzzi, Kesia, Khu Khu, Longroom, Miann, Movenpick, Mumbaiwala, Olas Arepas, Parade, Pastrami & Rye, Ponsonby Social Club feat. Brazilian Cafe & Bistro, San Ray, Sidart, The Blue Breeze Inn, The Broken Lantern and Tobi.

Ponsonby Business Association General Manager Viv Rosenberg says she’s thrilled with how the street has embraced PonsonBurger, with half of the participating venues not typically known for slinging burgers.
“Last year we tested the market to see if there was an appetite for a burger festival, and we were blown away by the response,” she says.
“We had members and locals asking for it to run longer – we listened, and this year we’ve more than doubled the number of venues, with 32 eateries on board and we’re running PonsonBurger for two weeks.
“I have no doubt this will add another layer to Ponsonby’s vibrant food scene – we can’t wait for May 26 when it all comes to life.”
