Paul McCartney took a trip down memory lane on Abbey Road, before performing to a star-studded audience.

Despite his fame and legendary reputation, Sir Paul McCartney obviously doesn’t take himself too seriously.

Sir Paul looked spritely and energetic as he crossed Abbey Road, posing as he walked, recreating The Beatles’ album cover from 1969. It’s been 49 years since the album cover was shot but the setting is still as recognisable as ever, making the singer’s snap very iconic.

McCartney was back at his old stomping ground for a secret gig, which brought out some of the music and film industry’s biggest names – including Kylie Minogue and Johnny Depp.

The 76-year-old put on a spirited display in a cornflower blue shirt, maroon slacks and black jacket. He finished the look off with black sandals and shades.
