If diamond's are a girl's best friend, we've found their new hangout spot.

Auckland jewellery institution Partridge has extended its suite of stores across the country with a new boutique dedicated to its own precious jewellery designs.

Though the family-owned business offers a selection of top luxury names across jewellery and watches (think Chopard, Fabergé, Rolex and Patek Philippe to name a few) the boutique is a new opportunity to share the creations of the brand’s own experienced in-house jewellers.

Since the inception of Partridge 160 years ago, four out of five generations have actively ‘worked at the bench,’ putting jewellery-making at the heart of the well-known company. Current owner and fifth-generation family member, Grant Partridge, inherited that passion for jewellery-making and gemmology. Only in the past 25 years have watches added to that focus, but Partridge’s offering now provides a key destination for the country’s horology enthusiasts.

The stunning new store on Queen Street in Auckland features items created by the experienced Partridge team. Design is led by senior jewellery designer Andrea Lethiers with pieces overseen by Grant Partridge and production manager Sylvia Halim and brought to life by a team of expert jewellers and stone setters.

In the new boutique expect everything from everyday luxury items like timeless studs, tennis bracelets, necklaces and stacker rings, to engagement rings and wedding rings, as well as incredible one-off pieces.

It’s not only head-turning diamond creations on offer either. Other colourful precious stones feature in many pieces, including sapphires, rubies, tourmalines, emeralds and aquamarines. Naturally-coloured diamonds such as Argyle pink, yellow, champagne and cognac are also a revered part of the collection.

After something totally unique, or a blend of other styles? A bespoke service is an appealing offering across all Partridge stores, providing the ability to collaborate with the design team on a special piece, including access to rare and precious stones.

The elegant interiors for the new store are the work of designer Hannah Davies, who also designed the interiors for Partridge’s Queenstown expansion.

The new boutique is Partridge’s ninth across the country, with six locations in Auckland, as well as stores in Wellington, Christchurch, and Queenstown.

Partridge Diamond and Jewellery Boutique is at 80 Queen Street, Auckland.
