Out-there Trend: Human Backpacks
Never one to toe the line, fashion’s master of runway controversy, Rick Owens, sent human backpacks down the catwalk. We’ve got to commend the models – and the human backpacks – for managing to keep a straight face.
Chloé Goes Sporty Spice
Like it or not, according to the runway at Chloé luxe sportswear isn’t going anywhere. Designer Clare Waight Keller not only sent retro-inspired tracksuits down the catwalk, she paired sweaters straight out of the 70s with flowing floral maxi skirts.
Model of the Moment: The White Pony at Jacquemus
Move over models, there’s a new show pony on the scene. Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus – who’s known for using the catwalk was an opportunity to blur the lines between art and fashion – opened his Spring/Summer show by sending his 10-year-old cousin down the runway in an oversized shirt rolling a giant ball of red fabric. Midway through the show, the designer himself walked the runway with a white pony.
#PattakesParis
Legendary make-up artist Pat McGrath is launching her own make-up line later this month and if beauty insiders weren’t already hyped enough about the announcement, they are now. McGrath and an 35-strong army of make-up artists took over Paris Fashion Week giving willing passers-by a makeover with her highly anticipated gold pigment.
