Who doesn't love a royal baby photo? They provide bright spots in a world of doom and gloom news headlines.

There have been many happy moments shared by the Royal Family as they have welcomed new arrivals, and we are lucky we get to watch them grow.

Plus, with the Princess of Wales being a skilled photographer in her own right, we’ve been able to enjoy some beautiful images straight from Kate herself.

From William right through to Louis, here are some of our favourite royal baby photos from throughout the years.

Prince Louis

Prince Louis slept snuggly in his mother’s arms, a picture of peace the traditional handmade replica of the Royal Christening gown. The 1841 original was created by Jane Sutherland and was made of Spitalfields silk and Honiton lace. It was worn by 62 royal babies before it became too fragile to use. The new one was made by the Queen’s dresser Angela Kelly and was debuted at Prince Edward’s son James, Viscount Severn in 2008. Dominic Lipinski/Pool via REUTERS

The proud parents of Prince Louis looked radiant, being seen together as a family of five for the first time. Kate looked stunning in a bespoke white Alexander McQueen dress with a v-neckline, fit-and-flare hem and slightly padded shoulders. It is no secret the Duchess is a huge McQueen fan, wearing the designer to all three of her children’s christenings, as well as to her wedding. Kate accessorized her outfit beautifully, with a beaded Jane Taylor headband, nude court shoes and pearl earrings. Prince William looked just as chuffed, wearing a very smart navy suit. He paired it with a white shirt and light blue patterned tie. Louis’ siblings looked as cute as ever, giving the cutest royal waves as they walked past cameras. Prince George, 4, wore the same outfit that he wore at the Trooping the Colour parade last month – Amaia Kids ‘Daniel’ shirt and ‘Gull’ shorts, with navy Papouelli shoes.
