Oprah Winfrey has sat down with Dame Jacinda Ardern to discuss her new memoir, "A Different Kind of Power" and documentary “Prime Minister” in the latest episode of her podcast, 'The Oprah Podcast'.

The American talk show host was quick to gush about Ardern’s super power of becoming the youngest female head of state in the entire world at 37.

Ardern tells Oprah why, in an unprecedented moment for a world leader, she announced she would be using kindness as her guiding principle as prime minister of New Zealand.

It is the first time the two have sat down and have a conversation, with Oprah describing Ardern as a ‘hero of mine for so many years.’

Ardern also talks to Oprah about what it was like finding out she was pregnant on the eve of her election in 2017 and her quick yet widely criticised response to the COVID pandemic as well as her decision to resign.

The former New Zealand Prime Minister seems confident and comfortable in Oprah’s company. She is currently living in America and teaching at Harvard University.
